RACE is designed for hard efforts and high carbohydrate targets. Each gel delivers 40 g of carbohydrates, making it easier to reach high intake levels with fewer gels, fewer trips to your pocket, and fewer interruptions while you’re moving.
The name RACE doesn’t mean it’s only for race day. It reflects the intensity of the effort and the carbohydrate target the gel is designed for. That means RACE is just as suitable for hard training sessions or any session where you’re aiming for a high carbohydrate intake.
The subtle lemon flavor has a light natural acidity that balances the sweetness, creating a fresh taste that’s less sweet than many traditional gels. Combined with its slightly runny texture, it’s designed to be quick and easy to take, even during high-intensity efforts.

Why this formulation?
Maltodextrin and fructose form the foundation of the formulation because they use different transport pathways in the gut.
Across all carbohydrate sources, RACE has an overall 1:0.8 glucose-type carbohydrate to fructose ratio. At high carbohydrate intakes, this ratio can help utilize both transport pathways at the same time and support greater total carbohydrate absorption.
RACE adds highly branched cyclic dextrin as its third carbohydrate source. As an individual ingredient, this high molecular weight carbohydrate has a lower osmolality than many simple sugars. Research has associated this with favorable gastric emptying characteristics and good tolerance during intense exercise.
Highly branched cyclic dextrin makes up around 10% of the total carbohydrates. It contributes to the overall formulation but isn’t, by itself, what determines how well the finished gel is tolerated.
The 70 ml serving size is equally deliberate. Using less water would make the 40 g of carbohydrates more concentrated, resulting in a much thicker and stickier gel. The current volume keeps the texture light enough to take quickly, even during high-intensity efforts.
If you plan to use RACE on race day, make sure to practise with it regularly in training under realistic conditions. At the same time, there’s no reason to save it only for races. Whenever your session calls for a high carbohydrate intake, RACE is designed for exactly that.

Ich hab gestern das erste Mal Rocketfuel Race und Race+ bei einem Fechtturnier (Ca. 5h) benutzt und muss sagen: großartig! Ich mag den zitronigen Geschmack (nicht zu Doll) und die Konsistenz geht auch klar.
Mit ein bisschen Wasser nachgespült und alles war klar.
Insbesondere Race+ mit dem Koffein hat mich vor dem Gefecht richtig nach vorne gebracht.
Ein einziges Manko, vielleicht, ist dass ich mir auf Grund der Temperaturen und der Kleidung mehr Elektrolyte gewünscht hätte, aber die habe ich mit den Getränken aufgefüllt!
Wird auf jeden Fall mein Begleiter für die Zukunft!
